Mallorca is one of the top destinations searched for during the second quarter (Q2) of 2016 on Sojern, travel’s leading performance marketing engine.
The Global Travel Insights report found that Palma de Mallorca was the third most searched for destination by holidaymakers in Europe in Q2. When asked to predict trends for Q3, the firm noted that Palma de Mallorca is expected to be the leading short haul spot.
With an increasing number of people flocking to Mallorca and the Balearic Islands this year, property sales in the region are also on the up.
The latest data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) reveals that the Balearics are the property location of choice, with sales up by 39% annually in May 2016. This is the highest growth registered throughout Spain, and is set to continue over the coming months.
