Looking to top up your tan and take in some beautiful sea views? We don’t blame you, the British summer is just starting to get warmed up and with it our wanderlust… Check out our five best beach suggestions:
If you are Instagram obsessed (we certainly are – check out our page!), then you will love the photo opportunities that this place provides! The layout of the beach was created by a landslide, giving it a remote scene of rocks and sand. Because of its location at the bottom of a cliff, it’s not easy to get to, but this only makes it a more unique setting for your holiday photos. You would have to get there either by boat or a two-hour coastal hike.
Also, the sea is such a fantastically deep shade of turquoise in this part of Europe.
Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa
Cyprus is one of our favourite locations in Europe. It’s hard to choose just one beach to visit, but Nissi Beach is up there with the best.
The sand is white and the water is a clear turquoise. Sunbathing here is the perfect way to balance out the evenings spent at nearby nightclubs.
Itzurun Beach, Zumaia
To make a change from sunbathing, this one is more for the sightseers. Spain is home to a beach that featured in Game of Thrones. Located along the northern coast, it was used as the backdrop for Dragonstone in season seven.
If you’re interested in seeing Westeros for yourself one day, then Itzurun beach would be a good start!
Inchydoney, County Cork
Ireland is another area in which we are spoilt for choice, when it comes to sandy locations. We particularly love Inchydoney for a paddle! This peaceful beach is nestled between green fields and looks out to the clear waters of the Atlantic.
It’s technically a small island connected by two causeways, which makes it a more unique experience than your typical European beach.
Studland Beach, Dorset
This last one may not be abroad, but we wanted to include it for those looking for options in England. This beach is a popular one for those on holiday in the South – whenever the sun is out, everyone flocks to the clean, golden sands of Studland.
Sitting in the shade with a scoop of Purbeck ice cream truly is the essence of relaxation!
And we’ve got even better news – this is a National Trust area, so members can park for free!
As usual, we are always eager to hear from you all about your own experiences. Let us know on Facebook or Twitter of any beaches you love to visit! Better still, tag us in your Instagram photos, as we’d love to see any wonderful views you’ve got to share…
